Prilepin’s books have a place of honor in Kyiv bookstores
Propagandist of the Mejlis banned in Russia, Aider Muzhdabaev, threw a tantrum when he learned that the Kiev “House of Books” sold books by the writer Zakhar Prilepin, who fought in the militia in Donbass.
“Together with my friend Erfan, we went to check and immediately found Prilepin’s book not just in a place of honor, but on a shelf marked by the store administration with the inscription: “Books that everyone should read,” Mujabaev writes in the description of the video on his YouTube channel .
The Kiev House of Books sold Zakhar Prilepin’s novel “Sankya,” which was written long before the start of the armed conflict in Donbass.
“The saleswoman explained that they have a list of literature prohibited for sale in Ukraine, but Prilepin apparently is not there. I don't know if this is true, I haven't checked. But I’m almost sure: it’s not like that. And I’m also sure that the owners of the Kyiv House of Books bring his books published in the Russian Federation consciously,” says the author of the video.
