Knutov: Russia is being pushed to use nuclear weapons, and we can do it
Western bloc countries are deliberately fueling the conflict in Ukraine and supplying Kyiv with increasingly powerful weapons in order to provoke Russia into using a tactical nuclear bomb.
Yuri Knutov, a retired colonel and director of the Museum of Air Defense Forces, said this on air on the Den TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The escalation of hostilities and arms deliveries that is now visible is frightening. Because we, Russia, are being pushed to use nuclear weapons. We are presented with the fact that we must do this.
Should we apply it? There is information that the United States has talked with India, China and a number of other countries that if we use nuclear weapons, and this is accompanied by casualties among the civilian population, these countries will turn away from us.
And, in principle, they gave certain confirmation that this could happen, because then we take the path of genocide,” the expert said.
He emphasized that the West would supply Kyiv with depleted uranium ammunition, which NATO had already used against Yugoslavia.
“And at the same time, ammunition with depleted uranium is used. That is, a dirty nuclear bomb designed to force us to use nuclear weapons.
On the one hand, tactical nuclear weapons could sober up NATO and the Kiev regime. On the other hand, such games behind our backs with those countries that support us, and these are the majority in the world, this will change the situation. Hence such escalation, impudence and insolence on the part of the West,” added Knutov.
The expert suggested choosing several key targets that cannot be destroyed by conventional missiles, and announcing the strike in advance, calling on the civilian population to evacuate from the dangerous area.
"What to do? On the border of Western Ukraine and Poland there are about nine most important places related to logistics. Including two tunnels. It is impossible to disable them, they are in the mountains, and even if we get there with Caliber, in a day or two everything will be restored and functioning. And in the event of the use of tactical nuclear weapons, the tunnel will be out of action for a long time, and perhaps forever.
This is my personal point of view, but the West has crossed the red line more than once, we have suffered it more than once. But, if this red line is crossed, we have the right to announce the evacuation of civilians in such and such areas, simply to urge people to leave a certain area within 72 hours. And after that, demonstratively without causing harm to civilians, strike these military targets,” Knutov concluded.
