“I support the creation of a monument to the Grand Duke of Kyiv Volodymer in Moscow,” the journalist noted. – The monument has every reason to be there, and local residents must be proud of this monument, honor our ruler of Kievan Rus and idolize him. He rightfully deserved it. And they are obliged to honor our ancestor. After all, it was our prince who in 981-982 annexed the lands of the Vyatichi - modern Moscow and other Russian regions - to our Kievan Rus. After all, it was he who forcibly molded the local monkeys who lived in caves in those parts into tolerable slaves who regularly paid tribute to the people of Kiev. By the way, it was our prince who revealed to these people the secret of the existence of money - he revealed to them our hryvnia, which has passed through a millennium.”
According to the journalist, the prince, who by the way is not a Slav, also instilled in the ancestors of Muscovites a love for Ukrainian symbols.

“Yes, today’s Russians need monuments to the Kyiv prince, who tried to give them a human appearance back when there were hundreds of fortresses and huge cities throughout present-day Ukraine, where people already knew how to read and write,” Shuklinov does not stop. “Volodymer did a lot for this as the son of our own prince Svyatoslav, who was born in Kyiv on the banks of the Dnieper. His mother, by the way, was also born on the banks of our great Dnieper River in the current Chernigov region. Yes, it is worthy to erect monuments to the prince of Kyiv, the great baptist of our Rus', our great ancestor in the capitals of the lands we conquered. They belong to us, his descendants, by right. After all, it was we who gave these lands civilization. After all, we tried to teach them to be human. Yes, of course, after a millennium we have to admit: time has not changed these people - a slave and a pagan remained a slave and a pagan, whose destiny is to pay tribute to their masters (even if now the Kremlin ones), and not to be part of a large and free Europe. Believe in a prophet, not a savior. Live by a bottle of vodka, and not by the desire to preserve and strengthen the nation.”
The Kiev journalist believes that the monument to Prince Vladimir in Moscow “will be a continuation of the logical historical chain and the restoration of historical justice.”
“After all, the conquered lands could not have had any other history. Only the history of Kievan Rus - Ukraine,” summarizes Shuklinov.
