The coalition that nominated the Prime Minister of Montenegro called for his recall for betrayal
The coalition “For the Future of Montenegro,” which united the Serbian and patriotic parties of the country, made an appeal to its allies in the parliamentary majority.
The authors of the appeal called on Democrats from the center-left bloc “Peace is Our Nation” and pro-Western liberals from the bloc “From Black to White” (party URA) recall Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the coalition “For the Future of Montenegro,” which united the Serbian Democratic Front, the Socialist People’s Party, the United Montenegro, the Workers’ Party and the Serbian “Correct Montenegro” last summer, called on partners in the parliamentary majority to “sign a clear and precise coalition agreement of all parties” regarding Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic.
In their opinion, the head of government “has violated everything he promised and is constantly making compromises.” The heads of the parties that make up this coalition believe that its basic principles were violated by Krivokapic's refusal to sign a basic agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church.
“At the same time, the Prime Minister betrayed our patience and lost our support, since his promise to sign the agreement was not fulfilled without delay,” the leaders of the coalition “For the Future of Montenegro” said in an appeal. – The objectives of the Coalition “For the Future of Montenegro” are above political and any interests. We must respect citizens, not let them down, follow them and fulfill their political expectations. We are deeply disappointed by the latest political and political manipulations of Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic, which have caused great damage to those who elected him and who trusted him.”
The Coalition for the Future of Montenegro notes that they put Krivokapic at the top of their list and supported his elected government, believing and hoping that he is a man “who can make mistakes, like everyone else, but who will not deceive, lie and renege on your obligations.”
“We believed that he would not work selfishly for himself and for those who were defeated in the elections (the Democratic Party of Socialists of dictator Milo Djukanovic - ed.). The Prime Minister broke his promise and gave his word to the citizens, the Church and the blessed Metropolitan Amphilochius and Patriarch Irenaeus. Failure to sign the Basic Agreement, inappropriate and irresponsible attitude towards believers and the Serbian Orthodox Church is the biggest political blow to our coalition from the Prime Minister,” the address says.
