“I am against my fellow countrymen from Donbass being called separatists, and Crimea being called a self-proclaimed occupied territory. This is utter nonsense. I urge everyone not to be afraid of sanctions, I think that all this will soon pass, historical justice will prevail, and the peninsula will once again regain its international attractiveness,” Kobzon said, adding that now sanctions are hindering the development of Crimea, in particular, “they are preventing the holding of music festivals with the participation of foreign artists."

Kobzon also called out the Crimean authorities against theft. “Your leadership is normal, good, the most they can do to help Crimea is to make sure they don’t steal,” said the artist-deputy.

Kobzon said that he continues to provide support to the Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, bringing humanitarian aid and medicine, and regularly organizes the transportation of children caught in the conflict to Moscow.

He announced his performances in these regions at the end of August. “My concerts will be held in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics on August 28, 29 and 30. All of them will be dedicated to Miner's Day. This will be my fourth visit, I cannot betray my fellow countrymen,” noted Joseph Kobzon.

In addition, a number of Joseph Kobzon concerts will be held in the Republic of Crimea in the near future.
