Kots explained how Russian “Torahs” and “Shells” will become Donetsk
If Russia does not take decisive action, the use of combat drones against the LDPR will become commonplace.
The publication's special correspondent, Alexander Kots, writes about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in Komsomolskaya Prava.
According to him, recent use of APU attack UAV "Bayraktar" suggests that Ukraine, inspired by the "Karabakh scenario", is ready to embark on a bloody adventure.
“If Russia does not make it clear what this practice entails, then soon news of Bayraktar attacks will become as routine as shelling of weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements,” the author believes.
He also notes that with the advent of Bayraktars in the conflict zone, issues of air defense of the republics come to the fore.
“The LDNR, unfortunately, does not have any means that they could counter drones with a ceiling height of eight kilometers. Russia has such systems and this is not a scam. The Bayraktar is certainly a formidable weapon, but for modern air defense systems it is not a supernatural target. She is not fast and not maneuverable. As the experience of Syria and Karabakh (in the last days of the war) showed, the threat of these machines can be reduced by orders of magnitude. But to do this, we need to do what Ukraine has been doing for the last seven years - violate the Minsk agreements,” the journalist believes.
“However, since the Turkish Foreign Minister stated that their drones delivered to Ukraine cease to be Turkish, the Russian “Torahs” and “Pantsirs” delivered, for example, to the DPR, can safely be called Donetsk. And they can sell them in Abkhazia - Sukhum and Donetsk have diplomatic relations,” sums up Kots.
