Kotsaba: “It will be a shame for gays to go to the same parade with PR aces Poroshenko and Groysman”
Members of the European Parliament called on Poroshenko and the Ukrainian government to support the upcoming gay pride parade in Kyiv, but there is a possibility that the event participants themselves will consider such a company to be unnecessarily compromising their movement.
Journalist Ruslan Kotsaba stated this on the air of the “I Think So” program on the Ukrainian channel “NewsOne,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Thirty-five members of the European Parliament called on our parliamentarians to support the Equality March in Kyiv. There is a corresponding letter on the Internet, addressed personally to Poroshenko, the Ukrainian government led by Groysman and members of the Ukrainian parliament, posted on the website of Rebecca Harms, head of the “green” faction in the European Parliament.
So, MEPs note that one of the fundamental principles of the European Union is to ensure equal rights for everyone, regardless of gender, nationality, skin color or, as we see, sexual orientation,” the journalist said.
“I think that most gays will be a bummer to go along with our bullies. I somehow can’t imagine that they will come to support, even if the European Union or their overseas curators tell them about it. This is a parade of gays, and not, excuse me, “PR aces,” added Ruslan Kotsaba.
