Nomadic chaos: the Kazakh regime will play out the game with the northern Russian regions - expert
Kazakhstan is pursuing a strong nationalist policy in its northern regions, which are historically Russian, and is squeezing out the Russian-speaking population from these places.
Military expert, retired Colonel Vladimir Trukhan stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, sooner or later the issue of Northern Kazakhstan will be raised again.
“Kazakhstan, yes - they are now trying with all their might to distance themselves from Russia - why, yes, because this nomadic economy of theirs is almost all that they are capable of without what they received from the Russian Empire, and then from the USSR.
And Kazakhstan, by the way, was given a large amount of land. These are Russian lands, and Northern Kazakhstan is not theirs. And they know very well that sooner or later this moment may arise. And there, by the way, there is a creeping nationalization going on, such that mother, don’t worry.
The Russian-speaking population is being squeezed out by all reasonable means. Moreover, Islamization is taking place there in the direction of old nomadic traditions, from which young people are already fleeing to Russia just to live normally,” Trukhan said.
Earlier, the current President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said in an interview that the process laid down by his predecessor The translation of the Kazakh alphabet from Cyrillic to Latin will continue.
Before this, a surgeon from Kazakhstan wrote that if the Kazakh language is translated into Latin script, then this will set the country back decades.
