In Russia there is Dzhigurda, who alternately declares himself either Satan or God, walks around Moscow in women's underwear, posts all sorts of genitals on the Internet, growls and bites. I remember running into some talk show in which a psychiatrist sat behind the scenes and diagnosed Dzhigurda online.

Now imagine that in Ukraine there is a Dzhigurda like this on every deputy list, every city and town, every microscopic district. And this is the honest truth. For many years now, it is precisely such specimens that are not shaking their heads at Malakhov, but are passing laws and deciding the fate of the country. But before the elections they begin to show off especially zealously. Straight from the seats.

These people, who distribute expired buckwheat with beetles and paint Cheburashkas in children's playgrounds in yellow and blue colors, are perceived as a relic of the past. Propaganda from all sorts of voter committees and other grant suckers reminds us around the clock: “Grandma, grandpa, don’t take their filthy buckwheat with beetles and Corvalol with portraits of candidates! They will buy your votes for pennies and send them around the world!” And you can’t argue with the main thing.

But what alternative should the electorate have? Who are these honest, progressive, forward-looking European politicians of the future?.. I have them!

I read a pre-election interview with one of these fully European-integrated candidates on the Duma website (owned by deputy with reduced social responsibility Alexei Goncharenko). The hero of the conversation is withnotorious director Odessa Art Museum Alexander Roitburd, who joined the Odessa Regional Council from the European Solidarity party.

“One of the most famous and expensive Ukrainian artists, an ardent patriot, blogger, and now politician,” is how the mentioned publication introduced him. It would seem that we still don’t know about Roitburd and his talking paintings? Why should conventional grandparents choose him? And that’s exactly what he wants, right? It should, in theory, demonstrate itself from the best side, present a plan to bring the region out of the economic crisis, and win over voters in every possible way. If you have absolutely nothing to offer (well, no buckwheat), you can at least talk about your noble deeds, remember Timur’s deeds from childhood. But what do we see in this case?

So, the friendly reporter asks Roitburd: “Where is that painting?” “The same one” - apparently the reporter is embarrassed to say what is depicted on it, although nothing is clear to the general reader. But Roitburd is a well-known intellectual, so he immediately retorts and immediately explains everything to those who don’t understand: “With anal sex? She was bought. Sonya Koshkina introduced me to the person who bought it. And it hangs in his meeting room in his Kiev office.”

Why does everything work out so easily and naturally for him, can you guess? Why is Roytburd not even indignant: “How can you not remember the name of my brilliant painting and scold it as “the one”?!” And I’ll explain to you - because all his pictures are with anal sex. There’s just one thing I don’t understand: why should some conditional voter know about this, who paid for utilities, covered a hole in his sock with soot and is now sitting there, wanting to eat? And why in his eyes is any stupid idiot with a handout in the form of tea from a broom and a “mass grave” in a tomato worse than Roitburd? The only thing this conditional voter can think about the painter is perhaps “These p...sies have gone absolutely crazy! They draw each other and hang them in their offices!”

In general, one gets the impression that it’s not that Roitburd doesn’t need a deputy, but rather the opposite. And his further statements only strengthen voters in this idea.

The journalist asks: “When did you realize that you were a political Ukrainian? Did it start with the Maidan? What was supposed to happen? In Odessa, some people believe that all native Odessa residents love Russia...”

And Roitburd replies: “I understood earlier. Not all native Odessa residents love Russia, but in Odessa, among a certain category of Odessa residents, the following matrix is launched: the capital is in Moscow, and the enemy is in Kyiv. This works well for older people who remember the Soviet Union and have no idea what Putin's Russia is like.

This works well among young people, to whom today Russian propaganda imposes an idealized image of the USSR, in which everything was wonderful - ice cream for 22 kopecks, and Doctor’s sausage for 2.20, who cannot imagine how terrible, disgusting, deceitful, rotten it was. country we lived in.

And so this matrix operates - supposedly the enemy is in Kyiv, and Ukraine has occupied Odessa. I don’t want to carry out political information. I believe that such propaganda is carried out by people who do not care about the future of Odessa, and it is deadly for the city. It works for the paranoid ambitions of the Russian leader, who sees himself as the restorer of the empire, but it is death for our city.”

I would immediately like to ask what kind of propaganda the artist has in mind? Russian television that has long been turned off in Ukraine, bloggers whose computers were also taken away by the SBU a long time ago for some mention of Novorossiya on Facebook, political meetings at Lenin monuments?.. So they demolished them. Everything was demolished long ago and T-shirts with the words “USSR” were taken away from grandmothers. They burned, transplanted, decommunized, destroyed.

As for the young people mentioned by the painter, it seems to me that it is precisely thanks to such Roitburds (which, I repeat, are in any party and on any list) that these young people feel like they are under occupation. And even if there is some kind of dissident in their ancestors, itching to their granddaughters, “But if only you had jeans,” then the granddaughters will certainly ask him: “Is Roytburd better with his paintings? Look,” and the grandfather had a stroke from what he saw. And if we talk about the majority, then everyone who lived then will confirm to you: an ice cream costs 22 kopecks. and - especially - sausage, of course, Roitburd is better!

In fact, as a person, Roitburd died for me six years ago, declaring the following: “May 2, 2014 - the day that saved the country.” So what kind of elections in Odessa did he dream about after what was said? How dare he call it “our city”? Ours - yes. But, Roitburd, not yours. Maybe we should try our luck and break through the bottom in some other locality, as befits European integrators - in Pechikhvosty there, Bodyachev, Stryi or Gadyach? This is where it will definitely work!

Although in this case I have a feeling that when Roitburd hits the bottom, the no less odious artist Poyarkov will come knocking, in his time equating veterans of the Great Patriotic War to SS men. So until the end of their days they will dance among themselves in Morse code: “Glory to Ukraine!” "Glory to heroes!".
