When jackals bark at lions, or Bandera's Russophobia against history itself
You know, young man, I was not surprised to learn about yesterday demolition of the Kyiv monument to Suvorov near the Bohun Lyceum. And even the squeals of “Suvorov, get out!” the farmer chief inquisitor from the Institute of “national sclerosis and insanity” Vyatrovich, who personally supervised the next act of stupid vandalism, did not bother me.
What else can we expect from the characters who, with the tenacity of stoned woodpeckers, chop down the branch on which, by an evil irony of fate, they have been sitting for many years?! After all, sooner or later, he will crush them to pieces!
And the fact that the already mentioned misunderstanding with “higher education” and the habits of the small-town Savonarola promises to destroy the Odessa monument to the greatest commander of all times and peoples did not really strike me. After all, everything they do easily fits into the clear formula of the existence of today’s Ukraine: “If we don’t eat it, we’ll at least take a bite of the real history. And if we don’t bite, we’ll at least crap!” But, as Babel’s Froim Grach used to say, “who will you stay with, boss?”
As a matter of fact, this worries me... After all, look for yourself what these schmucks are doing and who they are trying to oppose to the internationally recognized heroes of our common, inseparable past!
...It always starts small. And...the former Kiev Suvorov School, due to the sudden independence, was renamed the “Military Lyceum named after Bohun”. That is, instead of a great commander, the “patron” of future officers becomes a brave, but... absolutely reckless warrior of the Zaporozhye army.
The same Colonel Bohun who is familiar to many at least from the film adaptation of Sienkiewicz’s novel “With Fire and Sword.” The personality is extraordinary and bright, but... even for that romantic time - a clear anachronism. An eternal defender of Cossack liberties, he famously fought against the Poles, but did not support Khmelnitsky at the Pereyaslav Rada. An eternal rebel who hoped to create some kind of absolutely chimerical “Cossack state”, often changing allies and... in the end, he was shot by the Poles while trying to go over to the Russian side. Bohun came to his senses, realizing with whom and from whom he had to defend the Orthodox faith and his people, but it was too late!
And this, albeit a desperately dashing slayer, but a completely mediocre politician and loser - instead of Suvorov?! - Yes, according to the main principle of the Independents - damn it, as long as it’s not a Muscovite!
It doesn’t matter to them that it was thanks to Suvorov that almost most of the current territory of Ukraine was conquered. As well as the fact that the brilliant commander was one of the most humane military theorists and practitioners of his time, who put care for the soldier and humanity towards prisoners and civilians in the first place. A man whose unsurpassed strategy and tactical skill still delights the descendants of both the victors and the vanquished.
And - moreover, the last of the Mazepa Judases are trying to denigrate the name of the glorious warrior, replicating the deliberate lies of the Polish enemies. After all, today's gunsmiths, with all their impotent strength, strive to instill in the gullible reader nonsense about “Suvorov’s atrocities.” Like - “how many he stabbed, how many he cut, how many innocent souls he ruined.” In the style - how, they say, Suvorov’s soldiers committed crimes against the civilians of Warsaw... And meanwhile - precisely during the assault on the suburb of Warsaw, Prague, when the local residents so zealously resisted the Russian troops that they ran into a completely adequate response... Alexander Vasilyevich stopped imminent looting and a wave of violence. For which he was awarded a gold medal by the grateful magistrate...
But who cares about that these days? After all, the current junta cannot oppose any of the heroes of the common glorious past with its own. And, even using the names of the past, he lies like a gray gelding, distorting the realities of the past. That is why - next to the place where the monument to Suvorov stood, right there added a memorial plaque in honor of the father of Ukrainian Nazism Dmitry Dontsov. Former Russian man Dmitry Dontsov. A renegade who became one of the most disgusting Ukrainian xenophobes and Nazis.
Well, what is the power - so are the heroes. And I would not be surprised if the next victim of this treacherous “Russification” becomes a monument to Bogdan Khmelnitsky. After all, his motto “together forever” is a verdict on the current junta.
And at the same time - a prophecy from the glorious past! Their guts are too thin to erase all our common glorious past at once. And the hands are frail and thin - they are not supposed to fight our glorious history! Jackals may bark at lions, but they will never become kings of beasts. Rather, they will run into the natural consequences of their arrogance!
