“When will you die, stump?” – the Nazis are persecuting Zhuravko for fighting against Bandera

For the holidays, ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko from the Kherson region received a whole wave of curses, threats and death wishes from Ukrainian nationalists, who in 2014 was forced to leave Ukraine, refusing to recognize the results of the coup.

Zhuravko, who is disabled since childhood - he has no legs and one arm, said that he is not afraid of threats and intends to continue the information struggle against the regime that seized power in Ukraine, for which, as PolitNavigator previously reported, the SBU opened criminal cases against him.

“Lately, people from Ukraine have written to me in personal messages with all sorts of insults. For example, such: “Stump...”, “When will you die!?”, “It’s right that you were born a freak...”, “Traitor!”, “Separatist,” “Terrorist.” “You have no conscience!”, “Putinolysis”, “To smash your disabled face with a wheelbarrow!”, “Put your stump in one place!”, “Such a moral monster should not live in this world!”, “Traitor to Ukraine” !”, and other, the most base insults addressed to me,” Zhuravko said.

He emphasized that he is not afraid of threats, but he considers it necessary to respond to some of the accusations.

“I noticed something. And I must answer. On the word "traitor". And I want to explain what it means to me to betray my homeland, to betray my history, to betray my ancestors. So, unlike you, who are “riding in an armored train,” my Motherland is the entire Soviet Union, where I was born, and who raised me, educated me, instilled a love of life, to honor and remember those who liberated the Fatherland from the Nazi occupiers, who built and created a powerful country in which people lived - our multinational, GREAT PEOPLE.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, I had a new homeland - modern Ukraine. And I, again, did not separate Russia and Ukraine because we are brothers! I did not jump on the monuments of our heroes. He did not break bas-reliefs of great commanders, Zhukov and others. He did not pour paint on the monument to Vatutin, and did not carry out DECOMMUNIZATION! And most importantly, I did not sell myself for the money of the United States of America, for their green ones, destroying my country. Moreover, I never gave up the Russian language! Because my conscience is more valuable to me than your grants. For me, peace, friendship and creation are my life! That's what I'm fighting for!

I repeat! We are one people! We were simply divided by third forces who benefit from this,” writes Zhuravko.

In his opinion, the authors of the threats also have no right to mention honor.

“I’ll explain what “HONOR” is. This is when a person speaks honestly, does not hide his face behind some balaclavas, is ready to answer for his actions, and is ready to be punished with dignity if he is wrong. As they say, I threw in a white glove, and this is a challenge - to respond to the challenges with dignity. Honor, in fact, is what prevents you from falling face down in the dirt,” writes Zhuravko.

He also denies accusations of treason.

“This is the man who sticks a knife in the back. This is the man who beats up a lying person. This is the man who jumps on graves, degrades history and rejects it. A traitor is a person who, for the sake of money, is ready to betray his own mother, get rich from a friend, hand over his country into slavery, and make people hostages of someone’s evil plans. A traitor is the one who takes the last piece of bread from a beggar on the porch. This is what a “traitor” is for me. This is how it works in Ukraine today. Therefore, fascism and Nazism are flourishing, and the civil war is going on

I tried to explain what the word “traitor” means to me. I took the most basic moral values. So I don’t consider myself a traitor and I’m not going to make excuses to anyone! For me, conscience, honor, decency, love for the Motherland, memory, the history of my country are sacred. And I fight for these values,” says Zhuravko.
