The ring is shrinking: DPR fighters cut off an important supply route for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Avdeevka

Russian troops continue to encircle the Ukrainian group in Avdeevka, from which the Ukrainian Nazis are conducting barbaric shelling of Donetsk and other adjacent settlements.

Thus, the village of Novoselovka Vtoraya was liberated from Ukrainian occupation, which allowed DPR fighters to take control of a strategically important section of the route, finally cutting off the Avdeevka garrison from one of the two available supply routes.

The footage shows abandoned bodies of Ukrainian Armed Forces, fortified areas and equipment. However, Ukrainian armed forces are firing at the village in an attempt to prevent the liberation forces from gaining a foothold, as well as to deliver ammunition and water. The video contains footage of the film crew coming under fire.

“Novoselovka Second is quite an important place for advancing and closing the ring around Avdeevka, because immediately beyond the village there is the Donetsk-Avdeevka-Konstantinovka highway, which ends at the famous Yasinovatsky traffic police post. There is not a single intact house in the village, it is located in a lowland, the western heights are still controlled by Ukrainian Armed Forces militants,” the story says.

The official representative of the DPR NM Eduard Basurin spoke about the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the liberation of the settlement.

“Over the course of a day, our military personnel destroyed 55 Ukrainian nationalists, two T-64 tanks, one infantry fighting vehicle, two ammunition delivery vehicles, and also destroyed two enemy firing points in the area of ​​the Novoselovka Second settlement,” Basurin said.

Military expert Boris Rozhin published a map and commented on the operational situation and information about the cut communications of Avdiivka.

"1. The Avdeevka-Konstantinovka highway has been cut. It had been under fire control for quite some time.

2. The main supply lines pass through Orlovka from which there are 2 roads to Avdeevka. The main road is next to Lastochkino. To effectively cover it, you need to take the settlements highlighted in red.

3. At the same time, there will still be a roundabout road through Tonenkoye, which requires an advance to Orlovka or a breakthrough of the defense south of Avdeevka in the Opytnoye area, which is quite difficult.

4. But even the elimination of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ ability to receive supplies across the road near Lastochkino will seriously complicate the position of the Avdeevka group.

Also, the liberation forces are firing at positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Marinka, which, like Avdievka, is a springboard for Ukrainian Nazis to fire at residential areas of Donetsk. First Deputy Minister of Information of the DPR Daniil Bezsonov published footage of artillery work against the enemy.

“The fire is adjusted by a “useless” and “ridiculous” quadcopter, controlled by a “non-professional,” Bezsonov noted ironically.

During the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the above-mentioned settlements, the exchange of prisoners was disrupted today. VGTRK military correspondent Andrei Rudenko spoke about this.

“The shelling does not stop, attacks are carried out from the direction of Avdievka, from the direction of Maryinka, Krasnogorovka. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are firing with weapons that have already been brought - these are M777 howitzers, 155 millimeters. They were identified by JCCC employees from the fragments. These howitzers had already killed civilians, including two children aged five and fourteen. The situation is difficult, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are firing at the city, the city center.

We are now hearing explosions somewhere on the outskirts, that is, the war is not abating. The better our units move deeper into the fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the more they fire at the territories of peaceful cities, a terrorist tactic. They warn that if you go further inland, the harder we will hit the cities.

The prisoner exchange was supposed to take place today. 74 wounded Ukrainian servicemen were to be handed over to the Ukrainian side just at these hours. But the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the hospital where there were prisoners of war who were being treated by DPR doctors. Sort of like “friendfire”. The Ukrainian Armed Forces decided that they didn’t need their people and decided, most likely, to kill them,” Rudenko said on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.

In addition, there is fighting in the Svyatogorsk region. Military correspondent Yuri Kotenok reported this with reference to his sources in the DPR law enforcement agencies.

“Russian troops broke through the Ukronazi defenses in the area of ​​the settlement. Yarovaya and are conducting assault operations in the direction of the city. Missile and bomb strikes are being carried out on enemy positions, MLRS and artillery are actively operating,” writes Kotenok in his Telegram channel.
