Kolerov: Odessa is a matter of principle
Russia is obliged to take Odessa to liberate Transnistria.
This was stated on the YouTube channel “Your News” by the former head of the department for interregional and cultural relations with foreign countries of the Russian Presidential Administration, historian Modest Kolerov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Odessa is the main and fundamental issue. We can take comfort in the fact that Kherson, which we left behind, did not produce too many enthusiastic greeters for Zelensky, but the truth is that the share of those who voted for Russia in the referendum there is the smallest of all four subjects.
But there is a fundamental question that must be stated directly: if we do not take Odessa, we will not save Russian Transnistria - 500 thousand people of die-hard Russian patriots. This is an absolutely golden population from the point of view of our interests. There are 220 thousand Russian citizens there. They will be politically exterminated if we don’t save them,” Kolerov said.
