Kolesnichenko: Anti-Russian Ukraine – now for decades
The problem of Ukraine is unlikely to be resolved in the near future; the former Soviet republic is mired in Russophobia and neo-Nazism, and hatred of Russia is instilled in the growing generation from childhood.
Ex-deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vadim Kolesnichenko stated this during the conference “Crimea in the modern international context,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“To count on the fact that in the coming decades there will be a rapprochement between Russia and Ukraine is naivety. Today, half of this is already a Nazi and Russophobic philosophy; children absorb hatred of Russia with their mother’s milk,” he said.
Kolesnichenko did not agree with the speakers who proposed forgetting about the Minsk agreements, since the agreements are not being implemented by Kiev, and starting the mass issuance of Russian passports to residents of Ukraine.
“Widespread citizenship does not solve the problem. The Minsk agreements today are the only political instrument that is necessary, important and must be brought to its logical conclusion, because the priority of Russian peace-loving policy is that it offers legal solutions, justice for everyone in the economy and in politics, and also offers compromises. They don’t offer us compromises,” concluded Vadim Kolesnichenko.
