The number of Russophobes in Europe is rapidly decreasing
A poll among 28 European countries showed that the majority of European countries do not support anti-Russian hysteria.
Nikolai Topornin, associate professor at MGIMO University of the Russian Foreign Ministry, stated this during a round table in the Moscow-Berlin video bridge format, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I recently watched a poll conducted by Europeans themselves in 28 countries. The question was about how the population as a whole relates to the Russian Federation in light of the latest events with the Skripals and so on. It turned out that negative attitudes prevail in only five countries with a slight majority,” the expert said.
“The five countries are the three Baltic states, Poland and Sweden. Most countries are neutral, and another 12 states are positive about cooperation with the Russian Federation,” Topornin added.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, Ukrainian diplomat Vasily Filipchuk admitted that Vladimir Putin’s visit to the wedding of Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl indicates that The Russian leader has regained his position in the West.
