“Kolomoisky has rethought something” - Gordon about the oligarch’s sensational interview
The latest statements by the influential Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky show that some metamorphoses are happening to him.
Kiev TV presenter Dmitry Gordon stated this in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda, answering the question why Kolomoisky suddenly began to position himself as a supporter of peace instead of an ardent Russophobe.
“I think there could be two reasons. The first reason is the negative attitude towards him on the part of the United States. And he's looking for potentially another ally. And the second reason is because he rethought something inside himself. It's hard for me to say. To do this, you need to talk to him,” the journalist noted.
According to him, “some metamorphoses are taking place” with Kolomoisky.
At the same time, Gordon claims that if it were not for Kolomoisky, the “Russian world” would already be in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Odessa.”
“He formed volunteer battalions, and he took a clear Ukrainian position at that time, which few people occupied. Moreover, I’ll tell you more, he influenced [Kharkov mayor] Kernes. And he told me about this himself. He influenced Kernes to prevent the “Russian world” from entering Kharkov. This is also a very important point,” Gordon added.
As PolitNavigator reported, in a recent interview with American media Kolomoisky accused the US in inciting war “to the last Ukrainian,” he threatened that Ukraine might turn to Russia, with which he called for peace.
