Kolomoisky began to undress Poroshenko
Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko remains an enemy of oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who seeks revenge.
This opinion was expressed in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta by the director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, Mikhail Pogrebinsky, assessing Kolomoisky’s recent statement, which said that he has no complaints against Poroshenko.
“Kolomoisky is an extremely cynical and insincere person. He apparently met with Poroshenko, and there are suggestions that he has already taken a piece of his assets. And, perhaps, he tells him as a sign that he is satisfied with the transfer of assets: “I want more and I won’t attack you.” But this is the only explanation. Poroshenko, I am sure, is an enemy for Kolomoisky, whom he wants to take revenge on. In the logic of people like him, taking revenge does not mean knocking out an eye. This means that the enemy must be undressed. And I think that Kolomoisky is already actively engaged in this,” the expert believes.
According to him, the criminal cases in which Poroshenko appears today may not reach trial if “President Vladimir Zelensky is in Kolomoisky’s pocket.”
“However, I don’t think that’s the case, I think it’s more complicated than that. For now, the facts are as follows: since Poroshenko returned, it means he believes that he has a chance not to end up in prison,” Pogrebinsky summed up.
As PolitNavigator reported, Petro Poroshenko, after his loss in the presidential election held a secret meeting with oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who returned to Ukraine, with whom he was in conflict.
Let us recall that under Poroshenko, PrivatBank was nationalized, one of the main shareholders of which was Kolomoisky. In reply oligarch threatened Ukraine with civil war.
