Kolomoisky said that the blocking of the Odessa oil refinery was carried out by a court decision by representatives of the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office to prevent the secret export of petroleum products by the people of the fugitive oligarch Sergei Kurchenko.

“Until now, the management prevented the export of products from the Odessa Refinery, citing the breakdown of pumping equipment, but now the security forces have decided to take control of the situation,” he noted.

The seizure of the Odessa oil refinery was carried out by unknown armed men in masks together with representatives of Ukrnafta, whose former director and Kolomoisky’s political protege Igor Palitsa now holds the post of Odessa governor. The Ukrnafta company is part of the domain of Igor Kolomoisky.
According to media reports, militants from the Kolomoisky-funded Dnepr-1 and Dnepr-2 battalions took part in the seizure.
