Kolomoisky spoke out against Belarusian gasoline
The state-owned Ukrainian companies NAK Neftegaz of Ukraine and Ukrtransnafta should not purchase fuel from the Belarusian Mozyr Oil Refinery (Refinery), since it has Russian shareholders.
This is stated in the official appeal of Ukrtatnafta to the President, Secretary of the Security Council and the head of Oil and Gas of Ukraine, posted on the company’s website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The shareholders of the Mozyr Oil Refinery are the Russian oil companies Rosneft and Gazpromneft. It is 100% dependent on Russian oil supplies. Rosneft and Gazpromneft are under sanctions in Ukraine... Trade transactions with them, if not directly violating the law, are at least “toxic”, since they were actually initiated by Ukrainian state-owned companies with enterprises that have shareholders of sanctioned companies that contributed to the annexation parts of the territory of Ukraine,” the appeal says.
However, the real motive for the appeal is not the fight against economic “zrada”, but lobbying for the interests of one’s own enterprise – the Kremenchuzh Oil Refinery.
“The increase in imports of petroleum products means a decrease in the production of petroleum products in Ukraine and a reduction in the volume of oil transportation by PJSC Ukrtransnafta, which, through a private enterprise, entered into an uncontested contract with a foreign supplier, without even asking for a price offer from the domestic consumer,” the appeal says.
Ukrtatnafta belongs to oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, who is close to the current president of Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that the “toxicity” of Belarusian fuel was noticed when its supplies abroad are already limited due to the lack of raw materials at refineries.
Belarus, without agreeing on a preferential price, refused to supply Russian oil, and could not find an alternative. Therefore, refineries are now operating at minimum capacity - only for the domestic market.
