Kolomoisky launches a new party of former regionals and defectors into Ukrainian politics
Today, June 5, in Kiev, a congress of the Vidrodzhennia party took place, whose main task is to work in opposition to the current government, both at the central level with representation in parliament, and at the regional level through participation in the upcoming local elections.

“The renewed Vidrodzhennya party includes patriotic Ukrainians with a clear and balanced understanding of where the country should move today,” the message says.
Among the party's top priorities is pragmatic and professional work, both in parliament and with local communities, for the sake of the revival of Ukraine, and carrying out true decentralization.
“Over the past year, Ukraine has had its share of many trials, suffering and, unfortunately, disappointments. In such conditions, the caring and socially active part of Ukrainian society cannot stand aside. The time has come to unite around the ideas of practical anti-crisis proposals. This is exactly the kind of opposition that Ukrainians are waiting for, new in every sense,” the party says.
Representatives of the party in the regions plan to take part in the next local elections in order to be able to protect the rights of citizens in each village or city.
During the congress, a new leadership of the party was elected and the priority steps for the work of the political force were approved. People's Deputy Viktor Bondar was elected head of the party. The political council included deputies of the group of the same name “Vidrodzhennia”.
Earlier, there was information in the Ukrainian media that the Vidrodzhennya party is a reserve “airfield” for oligarch Kolomoisky in case his current political projects—Yatsenyuk’s “People’s Front” and Sadovy’s “Samopomich”—fly past the parliament. Let us remind you that the rating of the Popular Front fell below 4%.
Recall the backbone of the parliamentary group “Vidrodzhennia”, created in March of this year, which became the basis of the party of the same name, was formed by 19 parliamentarians, members of the “Economic Development” association, which was headed by ex-regional member Vitaly Khomutynnik, which was dissolved the day before.
Three other deputies who joined “Vidrodzhennia” are Kharkov majoritarians: an associate of the fugitive lawyer Yanukovych Andrei Portnov – Valery Pisarenko, co-owner of the automobile company “AIS” Dmitry Svyatash and the father of the ex-head of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine Alexander Katsuba – Vladimir.
Almost all members of “Vidrodzhennia” are former regionals and experienced defectors.
