“I've never been on the hunt. And I don't hunt. I’m not a person who chooses a target,” he said in response to a question from journalists on the “Right to Power” program about which of the oligarchs the authorities should hold accountable.
“Don’t go hunting for witches or oligarchs. They don't exist. Some became successful, some did not. Then comes capitalization: money to money, and big money to big money. We are all in a country where there is no middle class, no bourgeoisie. It appeared under Yushchenko. It was successfully destroyed under Yanukovych,” the oligarch believes.
According to him, oligarchy must be looked for in the legislative framework, “and not in personalities.”
“When there are rules of the game, order is established in this matter, there will be no monopolies,” he emphasized.
“We are normal people. We just happened to be in the right place. But not without sin. Like everyone else in this world,” Kolomoisky noted with a smile.
At the same time, he refused to say whether he considers Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko an oligarch.
“I don’t want to assess whether he is an oligarch or not. He is the president today,” said the ex-governor.
