Colonial submission: the Prime Minister of Georgia went to bow to Erdogan
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili went on a state visit to Turkey. The head of the Georgian Cabinet of Ministers is accompanied by a solid delegation, which includes Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava and Minister of Environment and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili.
One could ask the prime minister why Varlam Goletiani, who heads the “Defenders of the Rioni Gorge” movement, is not part of the delegation. It is this, and the already quite numerous movement, radically protests against transferring significant territories in this gorge to Turkish companies for a period of 99 years. Well, it is clear that Goletiani cannot be in the government delegation, because representatives of the Georgian political elite come to Turkey with completely different tasks - to bow.
During his visit before meeting with President Erdogan, Irakli Garibashvili visited Ataturk’s mausoleum and laid a wreath at the tomb of the founder of the Turkish republic.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the following at a joint press conference: “Turkey sees Georgia as the key to regional cooperation. We believe that we can carry out various works that will strengthen and increase the importance of our region and the world.”
Erdogan, willingly or unwillingly, revealed the destiny of Georgia. It turns out that this is precisely the key to regional cooperation. For an entire country, the role of a key is very little and very strange. The key is a necessary thing, but a very small one. Erdogan’s oriental sophistication and ornateness are quite easy to read. Georgia is the key that will open the way to the blue dream of the Turkish President - the neo-Ottoman Empire and Great Turan.
Erdogan once again recalled that he greatly values cooperation with Azerbaijan and supports all trilateral cooperation. At the same time, along with the familiar combination of Turkey-Georgia-Azerbaijan, he also mentioned a new one - Georgia-Azerbaijan-Armenia. Obviously, this is the best example of how the human tongue is completely devoid of bones.
Erdogan already has experience of trilateral “cooperation” with Armenia in the form of a united Turkish-Azerbaijani army, terrorists hired and deployed to Karabakh, fighter jets F-16 and Bayrahtar drones. A special form of cooperation, obviously, is the complete blockade of Armenia by Turkey and Azerbaijan. And this is said absolutely openly and seriously. It was even decided to hold a meeting of the Supreme Strategic Council and give a special instruction to the Foreign Ministries of Turkey and Georgia. At the same time, Erdogan expressed confidence that existing relations will develop.
The Georgian prime minister, inviting Erdogan to Tbilisi, said the following: “Naturally, we touched upon the situation in the region. I briefed the President on the current situation in our country. Naturally, we also touched upon the issues of occupation. Of course, there is no alternative to peace. All conflicts must be resolved peacefully. With this optimism and this pathos, I want to assure you, Mr. President, that we are ready to work very actively, cooperate, and implement many projects together.”
What did Garibashvili mean when he said there was no alternative to peaceful solutions? How was the issue in Nagorno-Karabakh resolved “peacefully”? What other projects do the allies have in their portfolio? Should we expect that with the expiration of the Kars Treaty, the Turks will officially lease Adjara, and Azerbaijan will lease the Kvemo Kartli region, which they so diligently consider to be their original territory - Borchalo. This has been the case for 499 years. Unfortunately, the possibility of such projects appearing in Georgia will no longer surprise anyone. But others may follow them.
During the XNUMXth century, Russia collected the Georgian lands piece by piece. The modern Georgian state and the modern Georgian nation are what Russia collected and protected. In just three decades of so-called independence, Georgian politicians have managed to lose territory and the population of the country, and the main problem is that this process continues. And today there is practically no one to protect Georgia. Russia is being pushed away in every possible way, and the West, according to tradition, will not lift a finger.
P.S. Historically, Georgia is located between two Islamic states - Turkey and Azerbaijan, which, as shown by the latest events in Nagorno-Karabakh, launched a war against Christian Armenia. So, maybe the time has come for Georgian politicians to finally realize and draw the right conclusions that Christian Georgia will survive and not be scattered into pieces only if it chooses as its allies not Turkey and Azerbaijan, but Christian Russia, which has repeatedly come to its aid. help.
