A column of Ukrainian soldiers was ambushed near Ilovaisk: the Donbass battalion commander blames the generals
Dnepropetrovsk, August 29 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The commander of the Donbass battalion, Semyon Semenchenko, said that a column of Ukrainian security forces who were trying to get out of the encirclement near Ilovaisk was ambushed.

“When trying to escape the encirclement, a column of our brothers (all battalions and reinforcements of the Ukrainian Armed Forces) was ambushed. Now they have taken up a perimeter defense and are fighting. Need urgent help. I have communicated all the data to the commander of NG and the Minister of Internal Affairs, they know the location of the convoy, there are opportunities to provide assistance,” he wrote on his Facebook page.
“The operation, both to liberate Ilovaisk, and the withdrawal actions were taken on the direct orders of the ATO leadership. The commander of Sector B directly supervised all operations. So don’t waste time on excuses, gentlemen generals, go about your direct business,” he added.
As Navigator reported, yesterday protests took place in Kyiv demanding that reinforcements be sent to the Ukrainian security forces trapped in Ilovaisk.
