“Colossal tragedy”: Turchynov reported losses in Ukraine
The overwhelming majority of Ukrainian law enforcement officers working on the peninsula supported the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation and went over to the side of Russia.

For the military, this was not the worst situation yet. 90% of SBU employees went over to the enemy’s side, about 70% of the border guards went over to the enemy’s side. The worst situation was in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, when 99% of the personnel went over to the side of the enemy. That is, less than one percent remained loyal to Ukraine,” Turchynov said.
