Enormous amounts of money invested by American money-boxes are returning to Russia
Russia is ready to invest “colossal amounts of money” in the social sphere. With this statement today, Russian President Vladimir Putin began his address to the Federal Assembly.
“Thanks to many years of common work and the results achieved, we are now able to direct and concentrate enormous financial resources for our country on development goals. Nobody gave them to us, we didn’t borrow them. These funds were earned by millions of our citizens, the entire country. They need to be managed in such a way as to increase the wealth of the country and the well-being of Russian families. This year people should feel real changes for the better,” Putin said.
The assumption of where the money will come from was promptly put forward in his Telegram channel by Rossiya 24 TV presenter Evgeniy Popov.
“It looks like Putin is opening Kudrin’s money boxes. It would be nice!” Popov wrote.
Putin, meanwhile, listed the areas where the funds would go: recalculation of pensions, child benefits, mortgage and tax benefits for large families, social benefits, construction of kindergartens and clinics, cultural facilities.
It took half an hour. Then the president confirmed Popov’s assumption, and in the same terms.
“When we made the decision to fill the financial pot, we knew that this would happen. We have a powerful financial safety net. For the first time in history, our reserves fully cover the external debt: both of the state (we have a small one) and of the commercial sector. And this money works. The Russian budget receives full income from the placement of funds from the National Welfare Fund,” Putin said.
He turned to “colleagues who criticized the government’s financial block” about placing money in the United States.
“We have a task: to increase it there to a certain level. And then slowly and slowly use it without shaking the macroeconomic situation. We are starting to do this. Proceeds from the placement begin to flow into the federal budget. The total income from the placement of funds from the National Welfare Fund, credited to the 2018 budget, amounted to 70,5 billion rubles,” Putin said.
