“Chaly’s team” can find money for election billboards, but not for the restoration of Victory Park
Victory Park in Sevastopol is dying not only under the tracks of construction bulldozers - the trees are dying due to lack of maintenance, for which the city authorities do not allocate the proper funds.

“There were a lot of relict trees, we planted them. Small-fruited strawberries, Arizona cypresses, all kinds of cedars. But now they are in a terrible state. It is impossible to look at them without tears. Fleet Day is approaching. In Victory Park, sailors landscaped the Black Sea Fleet park. There’s a stella there, and it’s all in the weeds,” said Lidiya Bykova, a veteran of the “Ozelenitel” enterprise, on the air of the local TV channel “IKS”.
Deputy of the city legislative assembly Igor Solovyov, who was present in the studio, complained that the park can only be restored if funding is available.
“The money was included in the budget. Including taking into account Victory Park. But funds are limited. Our budget is deeply subsidized, so we need to look at what money is allocated and where it is spent, whether it is effective or not. Because the park area is really large. Maybe next year we will be able to pledge more money,” the deputy said.
