Thus, the townspeople unwittingly opposed themselves to the opinion of the rest of Ukraine,” the publication notes.
In order to turn Lvov into his political headquarters, the newspaper believes, Poroshenko will have to follow a path that is very dangerous for Ukraine, a more radical attitude towards the current statehood - begin to prove that Zelensky, who won the elections, is still not Ukrainian enough.
“Moreover, Zelensky will be to some extent bound by his position, and Poroshenko, on the contrary, will be able to discard any political correctness. Even now he is not very shy - what are the events worth for his supporters alone, where visitors are fully instilled with the awareness of their own exclusivity, the chosen 25% of the people of Ukraine,” the publication notes.
The authors also point to a poll that was conducted in Lviv immediately after the elections and in which residents of the region were asked about their readiness create your own state.
