Zelensky’s team: no compensation to Kolomoisky, Privatbank was taken away correctly
A member of the team of presidential candidate Vladimir Zelensky, ex-Minister of Finance Alexander Danilyuk, believes that the decision to nationalize PrivatBank was correct and no one will pay any compensation to the oligarch under Zelensky, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
He said this on air on the ICTV channel.
“Regarding the nationalization of Privatbank. This was a very difficult process. According to the information on which the government made the decision on privatization, and also the decision of the National Security and Defense Council, I believe that the decision was absolutely correct,” said the ex-official.
Regarding the need for compensation to the former owner of PrivatBank, Igor Kolomoisky, in connection with the nationalization of the bank, Zelensky’s adviser said: “This is a question for the court, but if we proceed from the position that I have already voiced, that the decision was correct and justified, then there is no question of any compensation.” out of the question.”
At the same time, Danylyuk said that Petro Poroshenko and Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko allegedly prevented him, as the Minister of Finance, and the management of PrivatBank from defending the interests of Ukraine in the London court.
“This led to the fact that the next day I demanded Lutsenko’s resignation, since I was persistently asked to share all the information regarding the London court with the person who had previously met with Igor Valeryevich Kolomoisky in Amsterdam (Yuriy Lutsenko - ed.),” said ex-minister
