The Berkut commander spoke about homeless people at Euromaidan
During Euromaidan, all the Kyiv homeless people who wanted to eat, dress and stay warm for free joined the protesters. The PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the NTS TV channel, the ex-commander of the Sevastopol Berkut, Sergei Kolbin, said.
According to him, Maidan workers were properly supplied with all this, as well as fuel for generators.
“They were well supplied with food; fuel supplies for running diesel generators, for operating screens, spotlights, and microphones were also supplied regularly. I will say this: a large number of homeless people that exist in any city, they all flocked to the Maidan because there was free food, free clothes, free heat,” Kolbin said.
Earlier, Euromaidan “activist” Tatyana Chernovol (now elected to the Verkhovna Rada) in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda stated that one day of standing on the Maidan costs the organizers 70 thousand dollars. “Maidan is paid for at personal expense. I was told that it costs 70 thousand dollars daily. Of course, there are donations, but donations do not cover all costs,” she said.
As is known, as a result of Euromaidan, the regime of Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown, and a number of other Ukrainian oligarchs came to power.
