Commander of the Donetsk Legion battalion: “We are ready to drive the Armed Forces of Ukraine into new “cauldrons”
Kyiv politicians need to write off the funds they received from America and Europe to run the so-called. “ATO”. This is precisely what explains the failure by the Ukrainian side of the last round of negotiations on Donbass in Minsk.

This opinion was shared with PolitNavigator by Sergei Zavdoveev, deputy of the People’s Council of the DPR and commander of the Legion battalion.
“They (the Ukrainian military authorities - ed.) are destroying their own military equipment. They do it as follows. First, Ukrainian troops deliberately intensify shelling of our territories, forcing us to respond. And during the response, they themselves destroy their equipment. Moreover, it’s old and battered, but according to the papers it looks like new. You can no longer tell from a burnt-out armored personnel carrier or tank whether it was new or old. But real new equipment is resold. Thus, they earn a lot of money,” says the commander.
According to him, if now Kyiv politicians suddenly sit down at the negotiating table in Minsk and agree to the withdrawal of equipment, nothing will be written off. “Of course, this is not beneficial for them,” sums up Zavdoveev.
The Legion commander says that, despite the plans of politicians, the Ukrainian army is not ready for a major offensive.
“She is not ready to fight in a city of a million in principle. We checked this with intelligence. The equipment that is now in front of them (heavy weapons) is almost 80% old, broken, or written off. And according to the papers, it’s a new one, for which they gave money. They simply have nothing with which to go on the offensive,” says the battalion commander.
The battalion commander is confident that if the Ukrainian Armed Forces decide to attack, they will receive a rebuff.
“We are ready to drive them into new “cauldrons,” he says.
