The commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces died in a drunken brawl while celebrating Paratroopers' Day
The head of intelligence of one of the Ukrainian units located in the Joint Forces Operation zone received injuries incompatible with life during a drunken brawl on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of the Ukrainian Airborne Troops.
The acting head of the defense department of the Republic, Colonel Mikhail Filiponenko, announced this today at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He noted that in the ranks of the Ukrainian armed forces there continue to be non-combat losses associated with the consumption of alcoholic beverages by personnel.
“We learned that on November 21, the intelligence chief of the 8th separate mountain assault battalion of the 10th separate mountain assault brigade, Major Kuznetsov, was killed.
The incident occurred during the celebration of the Day of the Airborne Assault Forces of Ukraine,” said Mikhail Filiponenko.
The reason for the fight, according to his information, was the refusal of subordinates to carry out the order of a drunken commander.
“Kuznetsov, who was fairly drunk, ordered the reconnaissance group to move towards the positions of one of the LPR units. Having received a refusal, Kuznetsov began to threaten the use of weapons and, as a result of the fight that arose on this basis, received injuries incompatible with life,” the colonel said.
He added that, as one would expect, the official statement of the JFO headquarters notes that on November 21 there were no losses among the military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
