The commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is trying to “shift” the blame for a crime in Donbass onto his comrade
The commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigade responsible for the shelling of residential areas in the Donetsk People's Republic is trying to shift the blame for this crime onto the commander of a neighboring brigade.
This information was announced today during a briefing by official representative of the operational command of the DPR Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to his information received from the 137th battalion of the 35th brigade, the shelling of Dokuchaevsk on June 12 was carried out by mortarmen of this battalion while intoxicated. Basurin also noted that during the firing, a militant of the 1st company received a head wound.
“Currently, the command of the 35th brigade is actively hiding the facts of unauthorized firing on peaceful settlements of the Republic and the injury of its subordinate. And for this, he is trying to shift responsibility for the shelling of Dokuchaevsk to the 1st motorized infantry battalion of the 24th brigade, occupying positions on the left flank, and present the injury as being wounded during a mythical shelling by units of the People’s Militia of the DPR,” said a representative of the defense department.
He also added that such an attempt by the commander of the 35th brigade, Palas, to shift his responsibility to the commander of the 24th brigade, Gudz, against the background of the fact that the latter is already out of favor with the commander of the Joint Forces Operation, Syrsky, looks especially “officer-like.”
