Commanders in the ATO zone are not heroic and forget where they send fighters - media
Lutsk, August 18 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Volyn military personnel in the ATO zone were repeatedly abandoned to their fate, since they were seconded to other brigades, not the 51st.

“As it happened: again the 72nd brigade withdrew, and our guys were left alone surrounded. When we call the General Staff, they tell us, why are they there? They had to retreat along with the 72nd brigade. When our guys are under the command of other brigades, then such things happen. Therefore, they were divided into 3 battalion tactical groups. One group entered Mariupol, the commander distributed people, and the next day he does not remember who he sent where,” said the father of one of the Volyn servicemen, Yaroslav Mudryk, the Volyn News publication reports.
“It was similar in Zaporozhye, when they tried the guys who were called deserters because they escaped encirclement through Russian territory. And the commander generally “disowned” these fighters,” the publication writes.
According to Yaroslav Mudryk, no one remembered when 400 soldiers were retreating through Russia; Volyn fighters also fought their way out of encirclement.
The soldiers themselves say that the commanders are not at all distinguished by their heroism.
“I remember our brigade commander. He was the first to go and the last to return. But we didn’t see a commander in the 72nd brigade,” says Mikhail Datsyuk. A similar situation occurred when the Volynians broke out of encirclement.
“There is a Mr. Drapatiy who led us out of the cauldron. Now he is a hero, but there were not very pleasant moments. Then the whole column gathered, huddled together and formed a square. Just one volley and everyone could have been shot. He was asked: what to do next? And he didn't even know. Or two commanders sat in an armored bunker, which cannot be penetrated by anything, and raised a saber to take Krasnodon,” said Andrei Mudrik.
As Navigator reported, Ukrainian military personnel have previously repeatedly stated that the command is overestimating successes and underestimating losses.
