Armed Forces commanders justify the theft of weapons by drunkenness and drug addiction
The deputy commander for weapons of the 2nd battalion of the 54th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who turned out to be a habitual drunkard, was appointed by his battalion commander to be responsible for a significant shortage of weapons and ammunition.
This was reported to the press service of the UNM DPR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Despite the measures taken by the Joint Forces Operations command, the level of drug addiction and alcoholism is steadily increasing in the UFU formations, including among officers, which significantly contributes to a sharp decline in the level of discipline and uncontrolled activity of Ukrainian military personnel. Thus, the deputy commander for armaments of the 2nd battalion of the 54th brigade was removed from his post for systematic use of alcoholic beverages.
In fact, the brigade commander Maistrenko appointed an unlucky alcoholic, who arrived under a retraining program for graduates of civilian universities, to be responsible for a significant shortage of weapons and ammunition in the 2nd battalion, revealed during the investigation of another fact of desertion with weapons, a soldier of this unit from a combat post.” , the message says.
However, the press service emphasized that the systematic use of alcohol and drugs by Ukrainian military personnel on the front line increases their sense of impunity, which leads to spontaneous aggression and unsystematic shelling of the DPR territory.
