This is stated in the congratulations of the fleet commander Alexander Vitko on Defender of the Fatherland Day, addressed to the personnel of the Black Sea Fleet, veterans of the Armed Forces and the Great Patriotic War, residents of Crimea and Sevastopol.
“The Black Sea sailors worthily continue the glorious history of the fleet with long-distance voyages and successes in combat training. The fleet is regaining its former positions. In accordance with the decision of the country's leadership, new formations were formed, and large-scale rearmament of naval, aviation and coastal units with new types of weapons began. This year we will receive new generation warships and submarines. We have been waiting for this moment for many years and are proud that it was we who had the honor of mastering them and putting them out to sea,” notes the text of the congratulations released by the Black Sea Fleet’s information support department.
