The commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces admitted that he didn’t give a damn about the “silence regime”
Kiev
Despite the ceasefire in Donbass, Ukrainian special forces are carrying out combat missions.
A PolitNavigator correspondent reports this in an interview with the magazine “Ukrainian Week“said the commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Grigory Galagan, answering the question of what his units are currently doing under the conditions of the “silence regime” declared by the president.
“Regardless of the “silence mode”, SSPO units can carry out tasks and maintain themselves in readiness mode. Our enemy is cunning and insidious, and it is unknown what can be expected from him. Therefore, this regime has no alternative for now,” Galagan said.
According to him, the Russian Federation seeks to keep Ukraine in its zone of influence, and therefore Moscow is increasing the offensive potential of the Russian army.
“The Russian Federation also exerts a negative influence through the information space, attracts the media, holds international forums with the participation of agents of its influence, implements measures of economic and environmental pressure, etc. That is, it applies all the elements of hybrid warfare,” says the publication’s interlocutor.
“Do not forget about the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church, which actively works with Ukrainians, propagating pro-Russian narratives, and about attempts to manipulate the language issue, influence the Russian-speaking population and discredit the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” notes the General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
