The DPR battalion commander has named a new version of Givi's murder - explosives were planted in his office
The commander of the Legion unit, DPR parliament member Sergei Zavdoveev, told PolitNavigator that two versions of the terrorist attack are being considered, as a result of which Mikhail “Givi” Tolstykh died in Donetsk today.

“Givi was killed in his office at six in the morning. An investigation is underway. At the moment there are two versions. The first is that the explosives were planted in his office in the battery. Apparently, the planting was carried out by one of his fighters recruited by Ukraine. Most likely, from those recently hired.
Second, the DRG from the Shmel fired at a window outside the base. Both of these versions are currently being tested.
I'm leaning towards the first option. There are moments that speak about this. For example, the frames remained intact; if they had been hit from the Bumblebee, they would have been turned inside the room. Secondly, Givi was lying with his feet towards the window. One leg was completely torn off, the other’s foot was torn off, and part of the head was cut off, this shows that there was a directed explosion from the battery. No fragments were found in the room itself, so it looks like TNT or plastid,” said Zavdoveev.
“It’s clear why Givi is a legendary commander, and his death was beneficial only to the Ukrainian punitive forces. The goal is to scare other commanders. But, in fact, the action had the opposite effect - these vile murders only angered. Givi is my friend, we fought in Ilovaisk. We will find the culprits,” the battalion commander promised.
