In this regard, Markov repeated the demand of the majority of Russian experts not to recognize or congratulate Zelensky on his victory.
“No congratulations, no recognition - these were not honest, fair elections, I must say frankly. These elections remind me personally of the elections in Bantustan, there were such dependent republics from South African apartheid. In fact, the main power was the American intelligence services and oligarchs, and it remains so, this main power,” the expert noted.
“The junta remains, Zelensky’s victory is the first step towards freedom (since Poroshenko was overthrown - ed.), but then Zelensky is given the task of becoming the Ukrainian Saakashvili. Carry out fairly quick reforms, completely maintain the Russophobic course, while expelling the entire previous generation and creating a system of direct American-Ukrainian control,” Markov added.
