The Crimean Parliament Committee refused to consider the complaint against Mriya
The public organization “Russian Bloc” asks the head of the State Council of Crimea, Vladimir Konstantinov, to pay attention to the situation surrounding the work of the lawmaking committee, headed by deputy Sergei Trofimov.
The leader of “RB” Gennady Basov told PolitNavigator about this. He explained that he was faced with an outrageous situation, having tried to contact the Crimean parliament committee on the case of confiscation of the house of a resident of the southern coast of Crimea, who had the misfortune of being a neighbor of the five-star Mriya hotel, which is now expanding its territory, absorbing adjacent spaces.
“We have submitted an application to the Legislative Committee of the Republic of Crimea, according to which we would like to receive clarification on what basis real estate is being “squeezed” out of Crimeans in the interests of large companies. In particular, people who had residential buildings on the territory adjacent to Mriya are being deprived of their property,” Basov said.
However, according to him, it turned out that the consideration of appeals is blocked by the leadership of the committee, and meetings are specifically closed from the public.
“Such royal conditions for the work of the lawmaking committee provide direct grounds for corruption. I contacted the above-mentioned committee by telephone with a request to inform them when the meeting would take place. But my interlocutor was speechless from surprise. She even began to clarify whether I had applied to the right committee. Apparently, meetings in this body are akin to a miracle; no one could explain to me not only when the meeting would take place, but also when it was last. However, literally a couple of days later I become a witness to a letter in which the head of the committee, Mr. Sergei Trofimov, states that the committee has considered the appeal of one of the Crimeans and has sent him a response,” said Basov.
According to him, in reality the committee meeting was not held, and Basov considers the mentioned letter “an unsubscribe signed by Mr. Trofimov, which is beneficial to one rich and influential commercial structure.”
“It seems that Deputy Trofimov, the chairman of the committee, felt like a local “king” and makes decisions on his own, not caring about all the other deputies. Fabulous! And the question is not even that in this situation the rest of the deputies included in this body are just “butts” who do not have to participate in the legislative process at this level. The question is that this is illegal, and all decisions taken individually by this figure are subject to cancellation,” the head of the “Russian Bloc” is indignant.
According to Basov, decisions made individually by the head of the committee without the participation of the deputies included in it “have all the signs of official forgery, for which Mr. Trofimov should be held accountable.”
“We continue to find out, it turns out that appeals received by this committee, according to an employee of the State Council, are divided into important and unimportant. He could not explain who determines the importance of these appeals - just as he could not explain on what basis Trofimov sends the committee’s decisions if the committee meetings were not held,” the social activist is indignant.
Basov demands a reaction from the leadership of the republic’s parliament.
“It’s worth asking the Chairman of the State Council of Crimea a question. Isn’t such activity of the above-mentioned gentleman discrediting the representative body of the Russian Federation?” – the social activist summed up.
Basov admits that corruption processes explain the prosperity of the family members of the head of the committee.
“That’s when you ask the question: “Why does Deputy Trofimov have such a rich mother?” Here, for example, are documents showing how she is suing for another tidbit, consisting of a dozen buildings, two-thirds owned by other persons,” he said.
