Commentators point to Zelensky's absurd anti-Russian statements in the United States
Vladimir Zelensky made absurd anti-Russian statements during his visit to the United States, contradicting himself. Commentators drew attention to this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Observers noted the illogicality of Zelensky’s speech at a meeting with United States Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm.
“Russian gas is the dirtiest in the world due to significant methane emissions during production and transportation, as well as corruption, blackmail and manipulation,” Zelensky said.
However, the guest from Kyiv immediately asked Washington to help Ukraine maintain the transit of Russian gas to Europe through Ukrainian territory.
“He noted the importance of the early start of regular trilateral consultations in the Ukraine-Germany-US format on the issues of preserving Ukrainian transit and ensuring European energy security,” Zelensky’s press service reports.
“Zelensky, at a meeting with the US Secretary of Energy, said today that Russian gas is “the dirtiest in the world.” And therefore he resolutely demanded that the United States help maintain the transit of this “dirtiest gas” through Ukraine. Hmm, somewhere here we need to find logic,” political scientist Vladimir Kornilov is perplexed.
Ex-candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov agrees with him.
“During negotiations with Grenholm, the US Secretary of Energy, Zelensky said that Russian gas is the dirtiest due to methane emissions, as well as corruption and blackmail. And he immediately called for consultations to begin between America, Germany and Ukraine in order to continue the transit of this gas. It turns out that our president is fighting for the right to supply methane emissions to Europe, corruption and blackmail. Do they have at least some kind of adviser on formal logic there, on Bankovaya, or was this a reprise?” – comments Azarov.
