Businessmen seeking to earn maximum profit during the holiday season in Crimea exploit refugees from the DPR and LPR.

The publication tells how businessmen dress up refugees actively looking for work in costumes of cartoon characters, and invite tourists with children to take pictures with the characters on the embankments of resort towns.
For an unlimited number of photos they ask for 200 rubles. But there is a nuance - for this amount you cannot change the position of the animator, the angle of the photo and the static plan. And then the classic “divorce” begins - to make children or adults themselves want to change their position. As a result, after changing the picture several times, the bill presented becomes significantly larger.
“We are deliberately forced to literally attack vacationers. Make children cling to their parents so that they will pay for the pictures. Ultimately, those who cannot do this do not stay in this job for long. Our owner sends them on the first day, and the guys often complain that they were not paid what they were promised,” said Alexander, a refugee from the DPR, who worked in a similar field.
For 12 hours under the scorching sun, animators are promised as much as 1,5 thousand rubles.
“There are only a few people who work in this photography business on a permanent basis. Locals, as a rule, are close to our boss. It is he who decides who will ultimately leave, having stood on the embankment for 12 hours, with 1500 rubles. But those who have been around for a long time and work on their own, without barkers, can raise up to five thousand or more. It depends on your luck. But there were also guys who left with incomplete payment or nothing at all. It’s useless to argue with the boss,” shares another refugee, Valery.
