“One of the key problems is the extreme lag of the Russian Federation in the development of space launches. We are faced with the consequences during the NEO - there are 110 foreign satellites above the NEO zone: 70 American, the rest from Great Britain and the EU. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have the ability to receive images twice a day of any point in the area, that is, the location of our units.

As they write in open sources, we can receive such images only once every two weeks. The satellite constellation of the Russian Federation is only 4% of what is currently flying in space. USA, EU, UK is about 76%. 10% China. It’s good that now, during Xi Jingping’s visit, our leadership has agreed on coordination in space activities.

But 14% with the vast majority of NATO countries. Therefore, on Cosmonautics Day, one has to exclaim, as on the Internet: “Yura, we have... lost everything,” Obukhov said.

He proposed conducting a parliamentary investigation into the activities of a group of military advisers in the Tsar’s Wolves air defense zone, headed by Dmitry Rogozin, who previously headed Roscosmos.

His colleague from United Russia, cosmonaut Roman Romanenko, does not agree that things are so bad in the space industry.

“Today’s events are testing the space industry and our country. Those sanctions imposed by Western aggressors do not allow us to use imported foreign material in technology. But we can produce it all.

Therefore, the time has come when we can get out of the bins the achievements of our great scientists, pioneers, necessary for the Russian space industry today to be a driver of growth for the entire industry of our country. We have these developments, we have unique experience,” Romanenko noted.
