Today in Kyiv the funeral of ex-State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov, who was shot the day before by a killer in the very center of the Ukrainian capital, took place. The funeral of the ex-member of the Communist Party faction took place in the Vladimir Cathedral, which is known as the residence of the head of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate” Mikhail “Filaret” Denisenko, anathematized by the Russian Church.

Another ex-State Duma deputy, Ilya Ponomarev, who moved to Kyiv, to whom Voronenkov was just heading to meet before the murder, said: the widow of the deceased, Maria Maksakova, will remain in Ukraine for now.
“They buried it. Masha will remain in Ukraine for now. On the 31st she will sing Ukrainian songs in memory of her beloved. I admire her. Strong and proud. We'll get the bastards. Moreover, the names are known. That's all I wanted to say. I’ll go and drink some vodka,” Ponomarev wrote on his blog.
“As I understand it, Voronenkov’s funeral service was held in Ukrainian in the Vladimir Cathedral. A foreign country, language, church and grave. This is not to mention Gerashchenko’s presence at the funeral. Not everyone would like to leave like this,” comments Vyacheslav Azarov, head of the Union of Anarchists of Ukraine party.
