“The communists have been destroying Ukrainian statehood for decades,” says Focus. – If the Bolsheviks had allowed Ukrainians to honor their real national heroes and not imposed the ones invented by the communist regime, they would not have lasted long in Ukraine. And in Russia they understand this very well: Crimea, Donetsk and Lugansk, almost in the first days after the appearance of the “little green men”, were credited with Ukrainian symbols. It's all in the details. Symbols form human consciousness, a nation, but at the same time they are capable of destroying it.”
