Today's meeting of the State Duma of the Russian Federation began with a bright speech by Olga Alimova, a deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, who came to parliament after the recent by-elections.

“I, colleagues, have the most unpleasant news for you. The level of trust in any government is not just falling, but going through the roof and approaching the point of no return. What will happen after this is difficult to predict. At meetings people say: it’s impossible to live like this, you don’t see or hear us. Society is not only deeply socially unjust, but also divided. Unfortunately, it is the authorities who irritate him more and more with their stupid actions,” Alimova said.

According to her, at all meetings with voters the conversation inevitably turned to pension reform.

“For some reason, the budget easily provides exorbitant payments when officials retire - the so-called “golden parachutes.” Cosmic sums with one stroke of the pen turn into reality for these officials. Thousands of officials are using “golden” parachutes today; they will not feel the increase in the retirement age. For poor ordinary people, everything is increasing: the retirement age, housing and communal services tariffs, the cost of everything in the world. But for the really rich, it’s the other way around – tax breaks and the happiness of rain of money,” the deputy said.

She invited her colleagues to “stop annoying the people,” which irritated the Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Vyacheslav Volodin.

“Start with yourself. Introduce the proposals that you voiced here as legislative initiatives. And it would be right to start these initiatives with those who collapsed the Soviet Union, and now receive special pensions in the regions, claiming bonuses. Each secretary of the regional committee and the Central Committee recorded this experience as civil service. What kind of civil service is this if we are left without a country?” Volodin said.

He continued to comment on the communist’s speech, although he had never allowed himself to do so before.

“Colleagues, let's stop populist speeches. The Duma is a place for discussion, but not for populism. Populism is destructive. You can be left without a country,” the speaker said.

Deputy Yuri Shvytkin, speaking from the United Russia faction, hastened to assure that it fully supports the speaker in criticizing the deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. Thus, he inspired Volodin to make a new comment on Alimova’s speech.

“It is wrong to take and label people in the second week after the election. All our four factions are parties that are represented in power, although some have a majority and others have fewer votes. You cannot evade responsibility,” the speaker said, and United Russia applauded.

Communist Nikolai Kolomeytsev was forced to stand up for his faction colleague.

“We would ask you to refrain from commenting on our speeches. It is wrong to reprimand a colleague who has her own position,” he said.

LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky got involved in the discussion, saying that the majority of deputies agreed with Volodin.

“The speaker cannot be blamed. No one in the LDPR blames me. Let them try!” said Zhirinovsky.

“Parliament cannot be discredited. Everything that sounds here must be within the law,” Volodin assented.

United Russia member Olga Sevastyanova also rushed to defend the boss and said that Volodin did not violate the regulations, since the speaker “has the right to correct factual errors.”

The heroine of today's meeting, Alimova, also took the floor, with whom Volodin did not fail to enter into arguments on technical issues. After this, the communist recalled that “those in the CPSU who stood at the origins of the destruction of the country smoothly transferred to other parties in power.”

“Thank you for reminding us how the CPSU strengthened the personnel potential of United Russia.” This suggests that the best and most effective have found an opportunity to realize themselves. What a question - such an answer,” Volodin concluded the discussion as best he could.
