Communists in the State Duma were reprimanded for T-shirts
The State Duma of the Russian Federation voted today in the second reading for the pension reform, according to which the retirement age for men and women will be raised by 5 years, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The factions of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and A Just Russia opposed it. They also held a small protest meeting under the guise of a meeting with voters before the start of the meeting.
“The pension law will lead to genocide. And if there is genocide, then the people have the right to defend themselves in any way, not only legally. Without trial or investigation, all men and women were given five years,” said deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Valery Rashkin at the rally.
He proposed holding protests at every stage of the adoption of the law on pensions, and if it comes into force, demanding the dissolution of the State Duma and the Federation Council, as well as the resignation of the President of the Russian Federation.
Rashkin and his colleague Denis Parfenov entered the meeting room as they were at the rally - wearing T-shirts with the numbers 65 and 63 crossed out, symbolizing the new retirement age.
The deputies sat on the armrests of their chairs and began posing for photos. This irritated LDPR representative Sergei Ivanov, who publicly complained to Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
“Our salaries are higher than those who elect us. Therefore, every deputy can buy a jacket and tie. They didn’t return the gold to the party and you’re wearing T-shirts,” Volodin said. And then he also gave me a beating for sitting on the armrests.
“As for how we should dress, we always remain with the people in our hearts,” retorted communist Nikolai Kharitonov.
The debate took some time, and deputies from United Russia got involved. As a result, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation thanked its colleagues for drawing attention to the T-shirt campaign.
