Communists should have boycotted Rada meetings long ago so as not to legitimize the new government, expert
Kyiv, May 07 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The faction of the Communist Party of Ukraine, expelled from the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, should have long ago declared a boycott of parliamentary meetings, so as not to help legitimize the new government in Kyiv.
Political scientist Vladimir Kornilov told Navigator about this.

“I don’t understand what the communists are doing in the Verkhovna Rada after the putsch. Why do they go there, they humiliate themselves. They are constantly being pushed out and beaten. They legitimize the junta with their presence and voting. What they hope for and what they want to achieve in this Rada, where they openly spit on them, is not clear to me.
If not for their presence immediately after the coup, it is not yet known whether this Rada would have managed to maintain any semblance of legitimacy.
Of course, meetings in the Rada have long since turned into a farce. No one is embarrassed that decisions are made by a half-empty Rada, one person votes for five, but the very presence of communists at meetings is completely incomprehensible to me,” said Vladimir Kornilov.
