The regional committee of the “Communist Party of the Russian Federation” is preparing a statement to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Irkutsk Region and to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Irkutsk Region on the facts indicated in the publication of a number of media outlets. As the second secretary of the regional committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Evgeny Rulkov said, the statement will concern the correspondence of officials of the Irkutsk mayor’s office.

“Correspondence has appeared on social networks, as well as in the media, where several high-ranking employees of the Irkutsk mayor’s office comment on the progress of the election campaign. At the same time, we are talking about obstructing the election campaign and talking about an attempt to influence the media to distort information. It's outrageous. We are preparing a statement to law enforcement agencies with a demand to understand this situation,” noted Evgeniy Rulkov.
