Communists promise to defend the interests of Moscow like Luzhkov

The Moscow authorities must have the courage to enter into conflict with the federal center and say “no” to the government’s plans to raise the retirement age in Russia.

Vadim Kumin, candidate for mayor of Moscow from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, stated this on the air of Ekho Moskvy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The politician once again voiced the idea of how to avoid raising the retirement age in Moscow - to introduce payments to Muscovites from the city budget.

“This is a question of internal resources; Moscow has been paying “Luzhkov’s premiums” for many years. By the way, according to Luzhkov. We criticized him a lot, but he had the courage to conflict with the federal center on many issues. And now, looking back, we understand how difficult it was, and how sadly it all ended. But he always had the courage to say no,” Kumin noted.

“It is very important how Sobyanin behaves now. But for our part, if a socialist is elected mayor, we will certainly say “no” to the federal center on this issue,” assured the candidate from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
