The press service of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation reports this.

“The attitude towards the Crimean patriots who contributed to the reunification of Crimea with the Russian mainland looks frankly immoral. The second year has passed since the return of Crimea to the Russian Federation, and “things are still there,” explains the initiative of the initiator of the development of the bill, State Duma deputy from the Communist Party faction Ivan Nikitchuk.

The communists propose to extend the Russian Federation Law “On the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression” of October 18, 1991 to Crimeans who have been subjected to political and judicial persecution by the Ukrainian authorities.

In addition, according to the bill, persons convicted of calls and actions aimed at the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation are subject to rehabilitation.

We are talking, first of all, about the activists of the Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia NF Valery Podyach and Semyon Klyuev, convicted for calling for the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation.

“After the reunification of Crimea with Russia, instead of rehabilitation and presentation of medals “For Services to the Fatherland,” Podyachiy and Klyuev are forced to continue living with the Ukrainian label “separatist” already ... under Russian jurisdiction on Russian territory in Russian Crimea. Isn't this a shame for the Russian authorities?

To this day, the ruling elite of Crimea remains opposed to the rehabilitation of activists of the “Sevastopol-Crimea-Russia” movement, Podyachiy and Klyuev, who were convicted of separatism during the reign of “orange” officials. Those. The only thing left for the clerk and Klyuev is... to recognize (!) the legality of the Ukrainian court’s decision and wait for the end of the suspended sentence,” the Duma member notes.

He is convinced that the historical duty of the Russian Federation is the rehabilitation of those who for many years sought the restoration of historical justice and fought for the reunification of Crimea and Sevastopol with Russia.

According to Ivan Nikitchuk, the adoption of this bill will restore the good name of the Crimean patriots of Russia.
